    Students with a keen interest in physics and mathematics have a great scope in B.Sc. Geology domain as the industry has shifted more into mathematical concepts to derive possible calculations. A thorough understanding of calculus, trigonometry, physics, algebra, and chemistry will help you prepare yourself for this industry.     1. Geochemist: Geology graduates are hired by different government and non-government organisations to analyze the compositions of diverse environmental samples including the rocks, minerals, water from oceans, wells and even aquifers. Geochemist plays a crucial role in recommending and advising the organisations regarding the potential of a particular site in terms of extracting the valued possessions such as minerals, ores and fossil fuels. This is an outdoor job role that requires excellent organisation skills to prioritize their responsibilities while on the site as well as in the laboratory.
    2. Geophysicist or Field Seismologist: Professionals associated with this job role are mostly responsible for improving the seismic equipment to ensure the timely intervention of the agencies limiting the elements leading to destruction by natural calamities. Field seismologists or geophysicists spend most of their time exploring the diverse features of earth and collecting the data for interpreting their results. A basic understanding of the content management system, analytics, cartography, and seismic methods will take you a long way ahead in both the private and public sectors.
    3. Hydrogeologists: Specialist who deals with the diverse processes associated with groundwater including the one that enables the movement of water from below the surface to the top with all the rock and minerals in between them. They employ existing technologies to navigate the whole process and try to establish the link between the quality and the flow of groundwater. This job role requires intense field visits and the geotechnical know-how of equipment with strong analytical skills. Cartography is a must-have skill in this domain.
    4. Geoscientist: As the term suggests this job role encompasses a wide range of subject areas in geology to determine their role. They work as per their specializations and interest in a specific project. They are hired by the top-notch public as well as private organisations. They interpret, evaluate and develop models of areas that are to be considered fit for that project involving extractions, drilling, and other technologies.
    5. Geological Technologists: This job role is for students who wish to join the industry after completing their graduation program. They are responsible for conducting surveys and assist experts in their daily operations.
