Some of the best laptop brands to look for while buying a New laptop

When zeroing in on a brand for their new laptop, users might be driven by several considerations. Of late, there is a movement towards using Indian brands, for example. This was prompted by the government’s Make in India initiative, providing some much-needed impetus to the local brands. iBall and Micromax are some of the best Indian laptop brands, with the former being fairly popular, since everyone has had an iBall replacement mouse at some point of time.

Another consideration is brand differentiation. Some users will never go for anything other than a MacBook, because they are used to Apple’s UI and performance, or because all their devices are already Apple products, and they must all sync together. Of course, there is also the set that will go for a MacBook because it is considered better looking than most laptops, or simply because it’s aspirational, enviable and ‘cool’.

Of late, Asus has gained traction among the gaming community because of its ROG laptops that offer just what the doctor — or gamer — ordered, by way of technical specs. And then, there are brands like Dell and HP, veterans of the laptop landscape in India, and widely seen as trustworthy, durable, sturdy, no-nonsense work laptops.

We’ve rounded up the best laptops under 50,000 INR across a variety of brands to help you with your decision.

    Dell

As discussed, Dell is best known for durable, sturdy work laptops. For example, you could look at the new Inspiron 15 5509laptop, which comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a 512GB SSD storage. This laptop is considered to be one of the best laptops under 50,000 INR. It is powered by the 4.1GHz 11th Generation Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, and also packs in Intel UHD Graphics with shared graphics memory. It comes with Windows 10 Home OS. A permanent Microsoft Home and Office 2019 licence is bundled in with the laptop. This Dell model flaunts a 15.6-inch screen that offers 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Being sturdy usually means that Dell laptops weigh over 2kgs, and that is perhaps the only downside you can find. However, many users who are driven around, or hardly have to carry their laptop anywhere, often go with Dell.

    Price – Approximately Rs. 46,000

    HP

Another brand known for laptops that are not easily damaged, HP’s 14s-DR1008TU Laptop is one you might want to consider, if you’re going with the brand. This laptop too lets you multitask effortlessly, with 8GB RAM. It comes with 512 GB SSD storage, and is powered by the Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor, with Turbo Boost technology pushing the clock speed up to 3.4GHz. The brand throws in Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 with the laptop, which runs on the Windows 10 OS. The good thing about this laptop is that it is fairly lightweight, at a little under 1.5kgs, and it is rather small, with a 14-inch screen that comes with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

    Price – Approximately Rs. 45,000

    iBall

Whether you’re driven by a patriotic sentiment, acting out of fear of being spied upon, or you’re simply constrained by budget, you do have options among the best Indian laptop brands. Our favourite is the Aer 3 by iBall which comes with 4GB RAM, and 64GB of storage. It makes up for this comparatively low storage with a microSD card slot, allowing for expandable memory up to 128GB. There is also a slot to connect M.2 SSD (42 mm X 22 mm X 4 mm), but the same would have to be installed separately. This iBall model uses the Intel Pentium Processor N420 that offers clock speed up to 2.50GHz.

    Price – Approximately Rs. 30,000

Get yourself the latest model from the best Indian laptop brands, or stretch your budget a little and get yourself the best laptop under 50000 INR. Either way, if you use the Bajaj Finserv EMI Network Card, you need not worry about the price tag, as you can pay for your device in No Cost EMIs, with flexible repayment tenors up to 24 months.
