There are different reasons why people play golf. Some is for fun or to wine- away time while others is a career. For what whatever reasons they play golf, there are rules to observe and techniques to apply to get the most of it. Zack Creed a well known name in the field of Golf carried his passion for the game through every stage of his professional life, exploring the many sides of the golf industry from management to teaching, playing and even marketing. Zack Creed PGA has spent his career in various teaching and management positions such as head pro and golf director. Below are 10 things to remember when playing golf.

    It’s colder than it feels:

Golf is mostly plays in winter. We call this period, “Weather Relativity` rule. As we gradually come out of the Sun-scorched summer in September, a cloudy, 50 degree day; which we normally feel like we`re visiting Hoth, after three months of winter, those same conditions translate to a trip to the beach. Remember to dress appropriately to protect yourself from cold.

Stretch out on the driving range:

Remember golf swing uses a unique muscle combination and memory; the type that`s hard to replicate in the workout room. Therefore, it`s important to “brace up your muscles before a sporting activity. Prior to heading to the first hole, ensure to swing and stretch on the range.

    Slow and simple:

Throughout your round, remember to be consistent in maintaining your tempo. The probability is your swing is likely going to be rusty.  Establishing tempo means giving 80 percent of full effort on a swing. This will motivate you to keep your swing under control.

    You’re going to stink:

Particularly those who play or want to play golf for fun or wine away time should have it in mind that golf is an expensive sport. You’re going to spend your hard-earned money to do something that hopefully you enjoy, yet you could come off the course miserable.  You will enjoy the look of a ball going through the sky the way you think it should, and the feel of a chip you nipped just right. You will certainly get pleasure out of the shots when you hit them rather than from a score at the end.

    Don’t use new, expensive balls:

In the game of golf, not only will your shots be going all over the map (at least more than usual), but the course is perhaps in a soggy state, meaning numerous plugged, mud-damaged balls. Therefore, for training, Endeavour to use whatever

rocks you have left in your bag from last season, or buy some cheap new balls at the counter. But keep your “gamers” safe at home.

    Observe rules of the game:

For career golfers, adhering to the guidelines is important, as failure to do so can be disastrous; they could be penalized.

The course won’t be in great shape:

Remember that just as the way the grass of your front yard is looking yellowish hue and dormant, so is with your course’s sod. Even as the fairways should be nice, which is made possible by the divot respite, a reasonable portion of the grass will be a tad froggy and perhaps wet, and the greens won’t be rolled or cut with speed. But, don’t allow these conditions sour your outlook on a course. This is basically what Mother Nature looks like.

    Walk at ll costs:

Carts aren’t helpful for a course’s health the moment you take them off the path. Remember to play your part in preserving the course by mounting the bag on your shoulder.

Also, let’s be honest, you need the extra exercise after been on your couch all winter.

    There’s likely no cart girl:

Remember to prepare to move without the cart in case it`s still too cold for the cart girl to be circling around the course, or if they are college students hired by the club. Make effort to stock up on snacks and drinks before the round and at the turn. Repair your divots. The patches of soil that is scraped-off the ground in the course of a swing need to be replaced. Therefore, you are required to put the patch back where it was removed  to make the surface even again.
