As technology progressed. Still, cameras made way for movie cameras followed by the discovery of videography that added a whole new dimension to aerial photography. The advantage of aerial imagery was widely used in both World Wars to provide useful images that tipped the scales of combat.  The trend continued, and there were massive developments during the Cold War era during which modern technology helped to carry the camera into space and for the first time provided pictures of the earth that sowed the seeds of satellite imagery.

Aerial imagery as a commercial service

Technology, when invented, remains prohibitively costly, but with time it becomes more affordable and accessible that results in spreading its popularity across the society. It happened this way for drones too that initiated a culture of DIY drones that are more user-friendly and cheap than the sophisticated remote-controlled equipment used in warfare. Drones are now available off-the-shelf in stores and brought aerial photography and videography within everyone’s reach. Therefore, it is not surprising that drone videography in Toronto is an indispensable tool for inspections of buildings and industrial installations.

    Asset inspection by using drones

Industries are using drone-based inspections for improving the quality of data acquisition and efficiency as it also improves the speed of delivery and safety. Inspecting UAV or unmanned aerial vehicles aka drones have eased the methods of inspecting buildings and other industrial installations. Drone videography inspections are more in-depth as they can navigate structures very closely thereby capturing minute details more accurately. Moreover, it is much safer for inspecting tall and complex structures like in oil and gas refineries and establishments located in hostile environments arising from adverse weather conditions.

The high-resolution video images reveal finer details of structures at elevations more precisely. Every crack and damage becomes glaringly visible that would never be possible in manual inspections.
