Essay writing has been embedded in every student’s brain. We understand the importance of it and we know that without it, we lose a lot of grades. The knowledge you gain through this process will help you write a better statement of interest internship. Every essay needs to start somewhere and it can be more difficult than you think to write an essay about yourself. We are our own biggest critics and this can definitely limit the possibility of what it really could be. These steps should give you a quick guide into what it takes to write an essay.

    1.     Rough draft

Start this process by just starting to write. This is the version you don’t overthink. Simply focus on what comes to mind first. It is kind of like creative writing but based on your own life. The word count does not matter at this point. Simply get as much information from your brain and on paper.

    2.     Decision time

Now that you wrote the rough draft, it is time to go on an elimination journey. You cannot include everything in your statement of purpose for internship. Only the most vital points will be included. List down all the events that shaped your life, as well as the achievements you want to include.

    3.     Outline

Creating an outline allows you to remain focused during your writing. When you work without an outline, it is easy to jump all over the place in your writing. When you aren’t sure what section should be included next, you can simply use your outline as a guide. Your essay would also be more organized that way.

    4.     First draft

You are now going to start writing your first draft. The rough draft was simply an outpour of information on paper. Now you are going to take it a bit more seriously. The idea here is to write it as if it was your final draft. You write with intent and purpose.

    5.     Use online tools

We have access to the most amazing online tools. Instead of trying to do everything yourself, you should consider some of these tools. It may surprise you how easy it is to use some of these tools. You can select a grammar checker, plagiarism checker and anything else that might help.

    6.     Proofread

Nothing beats the human eye and although a lot of these tools are accurate, you still need to proofread. Even if you only pick up one or two mistakes, it will be worth it. With sop writing, you really need to make sure that you leave nothing to chance.

    7.     Submit

There comes a time when you have to step away from your statement of interest. You have to submit it at some point and there should be no doubts in your mind when you do this. After you have done all you can, send in your application and let it go.

Final thoughts on writing a Statement of Interest Internship

We all have our own unique style of writing and this is what sets us apart from the next person. This process is going to challenge you but in the most beautiful way. Taking a trip down memory lane and remembering what you accomplished, is amazing. You get to be proud of yourself again. Do not be too critical on the information you provide and only stick to the facts at all times.
